Barcelona had tons of these black and yellow taxis everywhere....which we found interesting, as Paris seemed to have very few taxis. Although the public transportation in Barcelona was definitely worse than Paris...so maybe that is why.... David made me take this picture!!!! :) There were well dressed women with dogs every where!! Not sure why....
Some of the more ornate architecture in Barcelona...
Ok...we spent most of the second day seeing architectural works by a famous Spanish architect named Gaudi. You can learn more about him at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antoni_Gaudi. His stuff is really quite bizarre. This was an enormous park that sat up on a hill overlooking the city. Most of it was covered in mosaics. All his stuff seems to be a modern interpretation of ancient buildings...this being a temple.

An apartment building by Gaudi
Taking a break from all our tourism at a cafe with more wonderful eats :)
Gaudi's Cathedral....La Sagrada FamÃlia,....for those of you who remember the Barcelona Olympics this was always shown as it is a very famous landmark. It is still being built, even though Gaudi died in 1926.
