Cannes

Since the Cannes film festival was going on we decided to take the train there and check it out. Tons of people got on the train with VIP tags and large cameras etc....there was a feeling of energy and excitement.
Some of the many photographers about. There was just a ton of people everywhere, which was fun to be a part of.

These are the tents for all the countries involved in the film festival, and each had its flag above it. Yachts in the harbor...
There is a set of buildings right along the water that are used for the festival... and all along the sidewalk are these ladders set up for the press. You can kind of see them in this photo
And of course...the red carpet!! Since we were there in the afternoon and not the evening we only saw a couple of French actors walk the carpet with their entire entourage. But it was fun to see where it all happens, and on the news that night we watched Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and lots of other famous people walk the carpet....we could have stayed through the evening, but we didn't want to wait that long just to try to catch a glimpse of some Hollywood stars.

Lots of expensive cars everywhere!!
